Goodreads Synopsis:
An enchanting modern fable

The frogs enjoy their life at the pond, filling their days with fly brunches and night music. But one day a little frog finds a crown at the bottom of the pond and is instantly pronounced a queen. She starts doing what queens do: making demands and expecting others to serve her. But when her royal subjects start to question her authority, she must prove she's fit to rule—if she can.

Reminiscent of Aesop's fables, this beautifully illustrated book is sure to start a discussion about the concept of leadership and the importance of humility.
Review:
I received this book for review and the images are what drew me in first. I almost immediately read it and it was a very cute fable about being humble and not taking advantage of others. The illustrations were wonderfully detailed and the story was clever and has a useful lesson embedded in it. I think this will be a great read for parents and children.

When a strange object drops into the frog pond all the frogs leap at the chance to get it. When one does they proclaim it a crown and the other frogs acknowledge her as their queen and she fills that role, until she doesn't anymore. The story was a pretty simple and short one but it was pretty deep as well and the earthy images fit the story very very well.
