Goodreads Synopsis:
When Roger started to tell Robin and Grandad his story he admitted that he had problems with reading. So he never bothered to read labels. That was alright until he left home and then the trouble started. After his problems with giant rhubarb he became determined to learn to read properly and that landed him the best Reindeer job of all.
 Review:
Roger the Reindeer was one of the cutest stories in the Diaries of Robin's toys series. His story is about not learning to read and not really wanted to learn to read but having to adapt to live his life better. It was a cute tale that related a lot to one of Robin's experiences with a new girl in his class. I found the reindeer's story adorable and loved that they linked him to Santa and the North Pole. It was very cute and fun.

Goodreads Synopsis:
Geraldo was another great buy for Robin he had a very interesting story to tell and a great explanation about giraffes and sore throats. He was also getting bored with his simple diet of leaves so he tried an experiment with people food. That brought its own problems but what happened helped Robins friend Caroline with her own difficulties.
 Review:
Geraldo the giraffe was the funniest of the Diaries stories - he likes to eat and gets super fat because he eats so much and the tale is supposed to teach about healthy eating. Geraldo's story about cooking and giraffes always being hungry due to their long necks made me giggle a lot and I think young readers will enjoy it as well.
